But when I began digging beneath the surface, I discovered layers I had never seen before.

Historical context, literary patterns, names, customs, Hebrew words, and connections across Scripture began revealing a much bigger story. And the deeper I went, the more I discovered that Ruth wasn’t simply teaching me about redemption.

It was revealing the God who is King and the God who redeems.

That discovery changed the way I read Ruth and helped me recognize the hand of God in some of the seasons of my own life that I had struggled to understand.
